10. Kia Sportage
With 3,252 sold in 2023, the Sportage, the best-selling vehicle in Kia’s domestic lineup, managed to rank in the top 10. Despite the fact that the quantity is 52% lower than the 7,630 units sold in 2022.
9. Suzuki Wagon R
In 2023, the Wagon R tallboy hatchback sold 3,494 copies, placing it in ninth place. Nevertheless, sales decreased from 15,273 units in 2022, representing a pitiful 77% drop in sales. The Hyundai Tucson was seventh among the best-selling models with 4,198 units, a 28% decrease from the 5,804 units sold in 2022.
6. Suzuki Swift
Swift, which came in sixth position, sold 4,433 vehicles between January and December 2023, a 65% decrease from the 12,833 units it sold in 2022.
5. Toyota Yaris
Yaris sold 4,796 vehicles in 2023, placing it in fifth position. However, the sedan saw a 69% drop in sales from 15,507 units sold in 2022. Not to add, the Yaris reached a peak production rate of around 30,000 units year in 2020–2021.
4. Toyota Hilux
t’s no wonder that Hilux is ranked fourth. In contrast to the 9,339 units sold in 2022, the 5,401 units sold in 2023 represented a 42% decrease in sales.
3. Honda City
Honda City, with 5,888 units delivered in 2023, took first place on the podium. Though 19,860 units were sold in 2022, sales were 70% lower than the previous year.
2. Toyota Corolla
Even after ten years on the market, the Toyota Corolla remains the most popular sedan.Sales of Corollas in 2023 totaled 7,176, a 70% decrease from the already low 23,960 cars sold in 2022. Not to add that the Corolla used to sell over 50,000 units annually at its height.
1. Suzuki Alto
Alto maintained its position as Pakistan’s best-selling vehicle for an additional year. But from 66,427 units in 2022 to 21,170 units in 2023, sales fell by 68%. Nevertheless, the runner-up’s sales are nearly three times lower than Alto’s. In 2021, Alto witnessed the departure of over 70,000 pieces from its showroom floors at its height.
